We needed to travel to the Himalayas. There are no roads so one either walks, uses a small plane or helicopter. We didn't have time to walk and supposedly helicopters are a lot safer. This was our first attempt to fly to Solukhumbu. We got up in the air for about 20min but then the clouds and fog came in and became too dangerous to fly. It was a little sad because it meant there as a possibility of us not getting to go at all.
Airport chaos.
So nervous! This is when I realized this wasn't the first time I had been in a helicopter. (that's right... I am counting my life-flight ride to the hospital)
