chefin' around

Rebecca and I gave each other a cooking class at Sur la table for our birthdays last year. Cute huh.
Over a year later we finally made arrangements to take a class together. We took Tuscan Harvest. I wasn't very good at taking pictures because my hands were messy and I was chatty.  I had no idea what to expect from a cooking class except this.

We made Duck breast with balsamic vinegar and honey glaze, radicchio with pears, and pumpkin risotto. This was so fun to do with a girlfirend. My favorite part was when they paired rebecca and I together and Rebecca fist pumped with an audbile "yesssss!".

I need to cook with fresh herbs ore often.

Here is Rebecca looking cold.

Flour-less Capri Chocolate cake

She's ready, guys.

Thanks, Reb! Such a fun night!

it's getting real in the whole foods parking lot

Walking out of whole foods front doors the other day,  I practically ran into a man coming around the corner at the exact same time.  For the record it was his fault because I kept to the right side on a right turn and he cut the corner on his left turn into the store.  It was super awkward and both our heads were down and he hit a huge stack of baskets. At the moment after this all happend I yelled (i felt like it was that loud) "skeworry!" I meant to say "excuse me" or "sorry" but I couldn't figure out how to say either of them correctly. We made eye contact right then and I couldn't believe what I had just said because I wasn't sure what I had just said.  So I didn't attempt anything more and speed walked to my car.  Luckily I figured out what I was trying to say once I got to my car and had a good laugh in my car, by myself and out loud. I hope no one saw creepy-laugh-girl.

MFR 2012 Picture Day

We went with the Baseball T-shirt for the family reunion in July this year.
The theme: Fortune Favors the Brave.
Hopefully I will get the full family shot from DB and post it.

These guys look good in their Baseball Tees.

Making a triangle with our hands. Get it?

Deer watching everyday. Kenyon wins for best animal spotting. (moose, deer, giraffes)

Milan 12

In April I went to Milan, Italy for the Salone De Mobile show. Going to Europe is always awesome and it's pretty cool to 'get out of the office' this way. We always come back with loads of ideas even if the show isn't top-notch impressive.

Yeah... this sign wasn't snobby at alllllll....

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! Literally ran into my BFF teammate, Libba! We didn't even know we were both in italy let alone at the same trade show on the same floor! What are the odds! We jumped into each-others arms and screamed it was so funny. (Her hub is an architect so that is how they ended up attending the show.)

This is one of my favorite locations at the show every year. It's an incredible setting and the blue painted metal is so pretty with the overcast skies in Milan. Plus the people watching here is unreal.

Summer nights BBQ

The GF's got together to welcome Kara+Brighton back from their 6 month tour of east Asia.
I was on the first part of the trip to Thailand back in May with Stacey.
We gathered in my backyard for some BBQ and chit chat.
Stacey is now married and it came with a cute kid!

'You Rock' Birthday week

Going to visit family in CA on my birthday week was the best.

Saylor's heart-to-heart.

Teen planned this party. She is so good at this stuff and an aspiring party planner.
She's gonna make it big.

This little thing running around barefoot and wearing pink little shorts on the Montage was a sight I want ingrained in my brain forever. Especially the part when she ran through a fancy beach restaurant with Dave and Saylor trying to catch her.

Thanks Teen, Mom, Bournes!

Fallin' for you, Fall.

Fall evening hike.

A cheer for fall, a cheer for making it, a cheer for life.

St George Marathon 2012

So proud of Shayna. We ran together pretty much the whole way. She also fed us the most amazing pre race meal at her parents house the night before and provided entertainment, shuttles, beds, and she brought Eric!

And a candid...

Shane and Ashely came to cheer us on! BFFC! Eric and Shane with twin facial hair and hair.

They handed out free soda after the race and nothing sounded better. The diet coke pumped straight through my veins and the following happened. oops.

Kid sis- didn't eat, didn't sweat, didn't breath hard, didn't lose a toenail, didn't look ugly running oh and she killed it!

Thanks feet. We did it. We really did it.
