Jeff, my coworker, turned 40 the other day. His wife is a florist and every year since I have known him she has brought in a cake and some totally awesome flower arrangement AND balloons. Her cakes are always out of control awesome! Last year she made a 3D cake that looked like his favorite designer sofa. (wish I had a pic of the cake. See below for real sofa.) Days after the election Jeff bought this poster by Shepard Fairey for $500.00. Signed and numbered. I will admit I do love the print for it's quality, color and design. But that $$ is crazy to me. Anyway.. I think it's so funny how she figures out how to go above and beyond what she did the year before. He is always so stoked. She did and incredible job. Side note, every time I go to NYC I see Obey street pasters all over the city. It is pretty cool to see street art like that. The Obey people printed a ton of Obama street pasters for free and people took them and sold them on Ebay... needless to say the Obey people were pretty ticked that people would turn a round and make a buck on them. okay I am way off topic. i really just wanted to show this cool cake and how impressive it is and how I want my future spouse to make me cakes and bring them into work. keep dreaming.
